THE HIDDEN HAND – Divine Propaganda
mainstream record thirteen
The first attempt by The Hidden Hand is an album full of soul, honesty and openmindedness. The music itself is a healthy, uplifting mix of all the best bits of all the best rock bands from the past (Sabbath, Motorhead, Cream, Grand Funk Railroad, MC5, Blue Cheer, Mountain, The Groundhogs) with a down to earth attitude and lyricism earned by years of paying dues in the punk and metal underground.
Wino turns back to the roots of all Rock´n´Roll sounding as hungry as never before. The album shows a wide-ranged view on his inspirations as well as a strong political attitude. All the songs were unearthed by the band together. While Wino´s guitar and voice give a few songs a deja vue feeling of his earlier work show the songs sung by Bruce a new variety never expected by a band that involves the godfather of the scene. All together it makes “Divine Propaganda” a powerful album that will be a classic seconds after its release.
