The Exile On Mainstream Roadshow Arrives In The UK In September!!!
For years, the Exile On Mainstream Roadshow has served as a traveling celebration of uncompromising independent music, bringing together artists from the label’s extended universe and the wider underground. Regularly touring across mainland Europe and closely connected to gatherings such as South Of Mainstream Festival 2022 as well as the celebratory EOM20 and EOM25 festivals in Germany, the Roadshow has quietly grown into a respected institution within the European heavy and experimental music landscape.
In 2026, the Roadshow takes a new turn: for the very first time it will cross the Channel and head to the United Kingdom. Appropriately titled The Keep Left Edition, the name nods to the UK’s well-known rule of driving on the left side of the road. At the same time, it carries a subtle political undertone that mirrors the ethos of the Exile On Mainstream community: independent, self-determined, and unapologetically positioned outside dominant cultural currents – endorsing that in 2026 this is not to be considered a romantic nostalgia but a necessity.
The UK edition brings together three acts operating at the outer edges of heavy and experimental music, each approaching intensity and sonic exploration from a different angle.
MIGHT crafts dense, groove-heavy compositions that unfold with hypnotic momentum. Drawing from sludge weight, krautrock repetition and expansive psychedelic dynamics, the band builds slow-burning sonic landscapes that shift between meditative tension and overwhelming heaviness.
Austrian long-running outfit Bulbul remains one of Europe’s most singular experimental rock groups. Blending noise rock abrasion, electronic manipulation and punk energy with an unmistakably playful sense of chaos, their performances often feel as unpredictable as they are exhilarating — a collision of precision and controlled disorder.
Completing the lineup is Noisepicker, the raw and electrifying duo whose stripped-back guitar-and-drums attack channels the primal energy of heavy rock through distortion, groove and sheer physical immediacy. Their sound carries echoes of garage rock grit, desert rock swagger and noise-infused blues minimalism.
True to the collaborative spirit of the Roadshow, no hierarchy or headliner defines the evening. Instead, the tour presents three distinct voices sharing the stage on equal footing — a moving snapshot of the diverse sonic territories orbiting the Exile On Mainstream universe.
Together, the bands will take The Exile On Mainstream Roadshow –The Keep Left Edition across the United Kingdom, touching down in Leeds, Nottingham, London, and Brighton.
A central moment of the journey will be the Roadshow’s appearance at the Love.Noise.Freedom Festival in London, where the travelling line-up meets fellow sonic explorers Confusion Master and Endure for a special festival night within the tour — a convergence of artists united by a shared dedication to creative independence and the enduring vitality of the underground.
In the spirit of accessibility and community that has long surrounded the Roadshow, three of the four shows will be free admission. The concerts in Leeds, Nottingham and Brighton are open to everyone without a ticket price, reflecting the DIY ethos that continues to shape the scenes these bands come from. Audience members who enjoy the experience are warmly encouraged to support the artists with a donation after the show, helping keep the wheels of the Roadshow turning.
More than just a tour, The Exile On Mainstream Roadshow – The Keep Left Edition continues to function as a moving platform for artists operating outside the mainstream — connecting scenes, festivals and audiences across borders while celebrating the restless creativity of independent music.
